e-Commerce group invested over six years to develop and implement necessary technologies to support state of the art digital marketplaces. This was accompanied with comprehensive business research and interactive relations with community leaders.

The group in joint cooperation with IVG subsidiaries completed the following steps:

•  The Arab Markets (www.arabianmarketplaces.com) which has developed -22- horizontal market-places for Arab countries, supported by a number of vertical markets focusing on speci?c industries and communities.

•  Joint development of Khedmatec which provide direct access through e-government services in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarrah. The company is pro-viding today -396- government services as a pilot project to be expanded over the next -24- months nationally and regionally. E-government services users are also e-commerce clients.

•  On going development of Mushtaryat Tec which is an e-procurement marketplace for government agencies covering B2G is also a joint development with IVG.

•  Undergoing development of other comprehensive e-transaction solutions through e-health, e-learning and land registration, integrating the pub-lic sector with the private sector to achieve x2x transactions.

This business model will be accelerated quickly as soon as infrastructure, connectivity, e-payment authorization and legislation problems are improved regionally. Some major improvements are under way in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and regionally during 2006.
