What is a Knowledge Economy?

“An economy where people and organizations create, acquire, disseminate, combine/re-combine, research & develop, use and commercialize knowledge, existing and new, more effectively to enhance economic growth and competitiveness”. Arab Knowledge Economy Association

We work at two levels:

1) With the regions leaders, we play a high-level strategic advisory role, injecting leading edge thinking and working collaboratively to develop long-term strategies for regional development. We distinguish our approach by addressing all areas of society including Government, Business and Citizen. Our approach addresses the need to develop in tune with the society and the environment. This means we must address not only the development of the local economy and the infrastructure it relies on, but also the society in general.

2) With industry partners, we co-develop pioneering projects which will accelerate the transformation of a region. These may be infrastructure projects in communications, water or power or they may focus on a key local strategic industry such as tourism, mining etc.

E-Government

The role of the government in a knowledge economy is to support, enable, regulate and encourage citizens and businesses to learn, apply, innovate and create value in society. We help them to do this better through initiatives and e-services.

E-Commerce

A region's economy is the engine driving its growth and ensuring its future viability. We are interested and participate in initiatives that support and en-able developing economies to trade their way to growth.
