We have been actively researching and developing Arabic Natural Language Processing core-technology components since 1995. Since then, we have built several products using these core-technology components. Arabic Textware is a software development company that produces Intelligent Arabic products based on its long-standing experience in the area of Natural Language Processing (NLP). This area of research and development is so critical for the future of computers and Information Technology in the Arab World. The computer is becoming an interactive media, and in order to get the most out of it, users need to interact with a computer using their native language. On the other hand, cultural interaction, business-to-business, educational and governmental applications all need the NLP core. The development and building of core technologies require dedication, know-how, mastering of both the linguistics of Arabic and techniques of IT. In addition, many areas related to this topic are of a research and development nature, thus there has been a great deal of emphasis on the R&D activities in Arabic Texware, and this is set as a major objective in order to produce efficient, suitable and sound products. Now, we have Ad-daall, our unique multi-lingual search engine that is an industry standard search engine with full Arabic Search features, an Arabic-aware search engine, based on language morphology and syntax analyzers. In addition, we are working on Machine Translation, Automatic Abstraction and Summarization, Optical Character Recognition systems Voice Synthesis Systems, and Voice Recognition Systems. But our ultimate target is to build a machine-understanding model for Arabic Language. We provide localization to international software products. Our work is distinguished in adding the Arabic features to their products in a deeper level than the interface, through adding the Arabic NLP layer to these products.
